Matiukha Andrii

Andrey Matyukha is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, founder of the FAVBET group of companies, president of the FAVBET Foundation. Co-producer and patron of the documentary film “We Were Recruits,” about the fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, by Ukrainian director Lubomir Levytskyi.

Entrepreneurial activity

Over 23 years of active development, FAVBET has secured a leading position among Ukrainian companies in the gambling segment. Currently, FAVBET is the only brand in Ukraine that has integrated all segments of the gambling business, including online casinos and betting, land-based casinos, and a network of slot machine halls. The business is also represented in European countries and continues its global expansion into the international market.

Currently, the structure of FAVBET includes:

• Online casinos and sportsbooks in Ukraine, Croatia, Romania, Brazil, and Malta, operating under national and international licenses.
• Land-based casinos: FAVBET Casino in Ukraine, and casinos in Croatia (FAVBET and Diamond Palace).
• Networks of slot machine halls in Ukraine and Croatia.

FAVBET Tech – the technological wing of FAVBET, developing software and administering the company’s online platforms. Since 2022, it has been a resident of “Diia City” and a member of the “IT Ukraine” Association.

In Ukraine, FAVBET operates under active state licenses issued by the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRGAL):

• In 2021, LLC “BOOKMAKING COMPANY FAVBET” LLC obtained a license to conduct gambling activities for online casinos.
• In October 2021, “FAVBET GAME SLOTS” LLC obtained a license to conduct gambling activities in slot machine halls.
• At the end of 2021, “FAVORIT CASINO COMPANY” LLC obtained a license to conduct gambling activities in casino establishments and opened the largest casino in Kyiv, FAVBET Casino, at the MERCURE Kyiv Congress Hotel.
• In December 2022, “BOOKMAKING COMPANY FAVBET” LLC obtained a license to conduct bookmaking activities.

At the beginning of 2023, the FAVBET group of companies transferred over 491 million UAH of license payments to the State Budget of Ukraine.

FAVBET is a sponsor of a number of teams of the Ukrainian Premier League and regional championships – “Dynamo Kyiv”, “Metalist”, “Minay”, “Kolos”, “Kryvbas”, “Obolon” and “Rukh” – supports the development of professional and amateur sports through own projects of corporate social responsibility. In 2022, FAVBET is recognized as one of the best betting operators in Central and Eastern Europe according to CEEG

Charity 

In 2020, Andriy Matyukha founded the Favorit Foundation (renamed FAVBET Foundation in 2021). The FAVBET group of companies became donors to the foundation, with the goal of creating a positive social impact ecosystem in Ukraine through charitable projects in sports, health, education and science. FAVBET Foundation began its work in Ukraine by signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Office of the President, and the Ukrainian Library Association in the fields of digitization and information society development.

In April 2022, the foundation opened a center for Ukrainian immigrants in Zagreb, Croatia. The center provides language training, legal and psychological assistance. In 2023, the project received an award in the category of “Own Projects of Charitable Funds” from the “Responsible Country” rating. In February 2023, FAVBET Foundation announced a long-term program called the “Superhero Club,” which combines educational and sports projects for children affected by war. In March 2023, a free basic IT education course for children was launched as part of the program. The course was developed in partnership with Code Club Ukraine, targeting children of military personnel, internally displaced persons and teenagers from frontline regions.

In the summer of 2022, “Ukrinform” reported that Andriy Matyukha donated funds to Ukrainian military personnel in the Mykolaiv area for the purchase of a modern Desertech SRS A-1 rifle worth 630 000 UAH. Additionally, a scope, ammunition and all necessary equipment for effective sniper operations against enemy positions were provided.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Armed Forces and other Defense Forces of the country have received 280 vehicles with the assistance of the FAVBET Foundation. Additionally, 650 drones of various types, including combat drones, were delivered to advanced units of the Armed Forces with the foundation’s support. As of January 2024, the total assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the FAVBET Foundation amounted to over 300 million UAH.
